Peace & Quiet worth the cost

It's amazing, says Jeremy. Compared to our old house, it's like another world. We can still have a normal life without disturbing the children, and vice versa. Jeremy and Mandy decided to put in a GIB Quiet Zone® wall between the main living area and the bedrooms of their two young children after reading about it in the GIB Living Solutions® brochure.

We discussed it with the builder and when he worked out the cost, we were pleasantly surprised. It wasn't much at all compared to the overall cost of the house and it's certainly been well worth it.

We don't have to worry about keeping our voices down at night when we have a few friends over, because inside the boys' rooms, it's like a cone of silence. And of course, it works the other way around too so when they're making a racket, we can still enjoy some quiet space, says Mandy.

In terms of noise control, their new home is in a different league to the previous one they shared with a boarder. She could be eating chips at one end of the house, and even with the doors closed, you could still hear the rustling of the bag at the other end of the house explains Jeremy. We had no privacy and that's why we were so keen on getting it right in our new place.
