First home builders get it right

Kane and Gayleen of Taranaki have a simple tip to share with anyone building a new home.

If you want a professional finish, get a professional Kane and Gayleen built their first new home in 2002 and are still as excited about it today as when they first moved in.

The final result is exactly what we wanted, exactly what we imagined. The finish in particular we're really happy with. We got in a very good stopper, a real pro, and it shows in the painted finish. We didn' want blemishes. With a new child, Kane and Gayleen wanted a ow maintenance easy care place and used GIB Living Solutions® recommendations to help achieve it.

The bathrooms incorporate GIB Aqualine® and we took on board some of the GIB® tips in terms of paint types, colours and finishing. Insulation, ventilation and heating were high on the list of the couples priorities as well. The house is sited so the living areas catch all the afternoon sun, and they have vented gas heating throughout as well as a wood fire. Warmth and comfort are the most basic needs we have for a home and it really pays to think carefully about these issues so you can design them into your home.
