Fire Evacuation TIPS
Fire Evacuation TIPS
Have two evacuation routes at opposite ends of your house, as well as an evacuation route from upstairs that doesn’t rely on the main stairs.
Separate the main egress routes such as stairs and hallways from areas with a higher fire risk, eg kitchen, garage.
Make sure any deadbolts or security catches are easily opened from the inside (without a key) so that you can escape quickly if need be.
Always have a fire extinguisher readily accessible.
